About Me

Yours Truly

Welcome to Juggling Work Mama, a lifestyle blog about the circus of parenthood and the never ending balancing acts of life in general! My name is Kathryn, and I am a wife, mom, real estate entrepreneur and most recently, a real estate agent for Keller Williams Realty. I am also gluten-free, Catholic, love wine and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2001, if that gives me leeway to expand on my posts in the future. 😉

I moved to Colorado in 1993 and have spent the majority of my life here, with the exception of teaching English abroad in Costa Rica for a year and living in Washington D.C. for three, which was long enough to make me realize Colorado was home. I graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 2006, with a double degree in journalism and Spanish and later received a graduate certificate in intelligence analysis and a Master’s in intelligence. I’ve done it all, I guess. My husband just says I am well educated, but seriously, who goes from journalism to intelligence to real estate? Someone who enjoys wine, that’s who. 😉 Man, I could write a blog on wine!

Then in 2013, I met the love of my life, who never would’ve made the cut had I met him any earlier. We met through “It’s Just Lunch,” which I am sure you’ve seen advertised in those lame airline magazines. I blame them for all that has happened since. Just kidding…mostly. We were married in July 2014, got pregnant on the honeymoon with our first and had our second in May 2017…both girls. My husband is one lucky guy. At least one of our dogs is a boy…sort of.

Then, in 2016, my husband and I founded a real estate solutions company to work with clients to buy, renovate, sell and rent properties. Our goal was to connect with homeowners and provide creative alternatives beyond that of listing with an agent. After seeing how competitive the Colorado market was, we realized we weren’t going to be the next Chip and Joanna Gaines, so we invested in out-of-state rental properties instead. Then, in September 2018, I decided to torture myself some more and go back to school to get licensed in real estate. It wasn’t easy, especially with a one- and three-year-old, but I passed my exams and am eager to provide better real estate service than what I’ve received in the past. Real estate is by no means easy, and starting a business is also not a breeze, but both have provided me the flexibility to remain a stay-at-home mama, which I wouldn’t trade for the world.
